Wrapping up ALL that happened in 2022
Last year was incredibly busy for everyone working in the Australian VET, higher education, international education, and EdTech sectors. Ordinarily it would take just 2-3 pages to summarise what happened in the year, but that was not the case when I looked back on 2022.
It was a really consequential year in the Australian tertiary education sector’s history. The reasons why include:
- a change of government at the Federal level for the first time in nearly a decade – with the new government introducing a raft of policy reforms and commencing consultations on many more
- education providers, governments, stakeholders, businesses and individuals rebuilding in a ‘post-COVID’ environment, and
- ongoing, significant and rapid technological advances changing how we work and learn.
While I have also looked ahead at some of the key changes I think the sector will see in 2023, I have chosen to share those predictions only with my paid subscribers. However given the number of ongoing changes in the sector I think this wrap-up of 2022 will still be a useful aid in your planning processes: Claire Field – 2022 wrap-up
